November 11 Ornament Painting for Kids and Adults

WoodTreeBaseThe Loft of Main will host a “drop-in” ornament painting party between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., on Monday, November 11, 2019.  This creative endeavor is planned for men, women, boys, and girls of all ages.  The location is 112 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL.  The public is invited to create a unique piece of art to celebrate the upcoming holiday season.  There is no charge.

About 500, unadorned ornaments were made of salt clay (flour, salt, and water.)  Choose from seasonal shapes:  snowperson, bell, star, tree, wreath, gingerbread person, teddy bear, circle, or heart.  Each will be enlivened with supplied tempera paint, donated by CAPA.

Completed art pieces will remain on display on the gallery tree until the week before Christmas.  They may be picked up

  • Thursday, December 19 (10:00 to 2:00)
  • Friday, December 20 (10:00 to 4:00)
  • Saturday, December 21 (10:00 to 4:00.)

Board members and volunteers will be available throughout the day to assist:  Sharon Boyles, Sarah Bull, Sandra Crouse, Anne Frame, Jean and Mark Zinnen, among others.
