07-05-13 at 3:36 p.m. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office received a citizen’s report of a deceased body found in the Rock River between Erie and Hillsdale, IL. Deputies, along with Prophetstown and Erie Fire Department, recovered the body, which was turned over to Whiteside County Coroner Joe McDonald.
At this time, the agencies are working in conjunction to positively identify the body.
