“The President’s plan to steal billions of dollars from our military undermines their ability to keep us safe and jeopardizes our National security. More than 200 times on the campaign trail, President Trump promised the American people that Mexico would pay for his wall. Now, instead of working toward bipartisan immigration solutions, he is raiding military funds for an expensive, ineffective, vanity project that will not secure our border. I will continue reaching across the aisle to bolster our military, protect critical projects in Illinois, and keep our communities safe.”
