The Quad-City Times annually invites high schools, in Illinois and Iowa counties who are served by the newspaper, to submit nominations of exceptional high school graduates. Seven criteria must be met to be selected for the Salute to Academics and Achievements recognition in the folowing categories: Academics; The Arts; Humanities; Leadership; Math/The Sciences;Vocational Education; Young Journalist.
