Morrison Police Report from August 9

Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, August 9, 2019.

Arrests:  On Saturday, August 10, 2019, at approximately 1:44 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Tony C. Coleman, age 22 of Chicago, IL, at W. Lincolnway and Olive Street, Morrison, IL, for equipment and moving violations.  As a result of the investigation during the traffic stop, Coleman was arrested and charged with Driving While License Suspended, Speeding and Obstructed Windows (Tint.)  A passenger, Ronald J. Bryant, age 21 of Chicago, was arrested pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Bryant with Failure to Appear-No Valid Driver’s License.  Both Coleman and Bryant were transported to the Whiteside County Jail.  The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office assisted with this incident.

On Friday, August 9, 2019, at approximately 4:20 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Randy M. Kath, age 52 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to a Body Attachment issued by Whiteside County, regarding a civil complaint/action.  Kath was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Thursday, August 15, 2019, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Morrison Police arrested and charged Devontrey L. Cassiberry, age 19 of Morrison, IL, with Unlawful Violation of an Order of Protection (No Stalking/Contact Order.)  The arrest is the result of an investigation of a complaint that occurred on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.  Cassiberry was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

On Friday, August 16, 2019, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Morrison Police investigated a complaint of a suspicious vehicle parked at Casey’s General Store in Morrison, IL.  As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested Sherri J. Boles, age 25 of Morrison, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Boles with a Violation of a Court Order.  Boles was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

The public is reminded that these are merely charges, and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
