On 8/10/19 at 2:37 p.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with CGH EMS; Tampico Fire Department, EMS, and Police Department; Illinois State Police responded to a motorcycle accident, at the intersection of IL Route 40 (Hoover Road) and Hahnaman Road. Upon further investigation, it was found that a water barrel had fallen off of a trailer and onto the roadway. The driver of the motorcycle, Kerri A. Swank, age 58 of Moline, IL, collided with the barrel, which resulted in her losing control and crashing into the ditch. Keri was airlifted to Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. This accident is still under investigation.
