Illinois State Police District 1, District 16, Illinois Secretary of State Police, Illinois Commerce Commission Police, Illinois Department of Revenue, and Illinois Department of Transportation combined their efforts to work a truck enforcement detail, on Thursday, June 27, 2019, in Whiteside County. During the detail, 18 Citations and 27 Written Warnings were issued. Of the 18 Citations, Officers issued
- one for No Valid Commercial Driver’s License
- one for Driving While License Suspended
- one for Improper Use of Registration
- two for Overweight on Axle
- two for Overweight on Registration
- one for Overweight on Gross
- three for other violations.
Additionally, there were
- one Forced Registration by Illinois Secretary of State Police
- three Administrative Citations issued by the Illinois Commerce Commission Police
- four Citations for Operating with Untaxed Diesel Fuel issued by the Illinois Department of Revenue.
Troopers conducted nine Motor Carrier Safety Inspections, placing two drivers out of service and three vehicles out of service for safety violations. Troopers weighed 111 trucks during the detail.
This detail was a cooperative effort to provide increased enforcement of overweight truck violations, registration violations, and other violations related to motor carrier safety.
