Attention, parents: Are you looking to involve your child/children in fun, summer activities? The 2019 Youth Rec Program is now open for registration.
These activities take place throughout July and are divided into two age groups, three-to-seven and eight-to-13. Children under five years old must be accompanied by an adult, but all parents are welcome.
Youth 3-7 activities take place every Tuesday morning. They include
- 9th, Chalk the Park–9:00 to 10:30, Sports Complex
- 16th, Picnic in the Park–11:00 to 12:30, Sports Complex
- 23rd, Craft Day–9:00 to 10:30, Kelly Park
- 30th, Nature Scavenger Hunt–9:00 to 10:30, Waterworks Park.
Youth 8-13 have varied days. They include
- Thursday, July 11, Tie Dye Day–11:00 to 12:30, French Creek Park
- Monday, July 15, LumberKings Game–10:00 to 2:30, Clinton, IA
- Tuesday, July 23, “Three Little Wolves and the Big Bad Pig”–1:00 to ?, Mt Carroll, IL
- Thursday, July 25, Water Balloon Fight–1:00 to 2:30, Sports Complex.
Activities are free with the exception of the play ($15) and baseball game ($10), which include transportation by R. C. Smith.
