Today, Wednesday, April 24, 2019, at 9:15 a.m., Congresswoman Cheri Bustos will speak with students participating in the Sauk Valley Community Leadership Program and the Whiteside Area Career Center Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities (CEO) program.
Congresswoman Bustos will share with the young student leaders her experiences in Congress; what it is like to serve Illinois; how to best advocate in Washington; leadership skills she has developed throughout her career.
The location is Sauk Valley Media, 3200 E. Lincoln Way, Sterling, IL.
The Sauk Valley Community Leadership Program is a 10-month program led by the Dixon Chamber of Commerce & Main Street, the Rock Falls Chamber of Commerce, the Sauk Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, and Sauk Valley Community College. The program is focused on personal leadership growth, community engagement, and friendship development with other leaders.
The Whiteside Area Career Center CEO program is a one-year course that provides students with the knowledge on how to operate their own businesses.
