In celebration of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Buffalo Wild Wings, 4304 E. Lincolnway, Suite A, Sterling, IL, will support April House Children’s Advocacy Center, on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. From 11:00 a.m. until closing, let your server know you would like the proceeds to go to April House. Tips will be donated, too.

Celebrate Child Abuse Prevention Month, on Friday, April 12, at 12:15 p.m. The public is invited to join April House staff and Law Enforcement support personnel. Plant one of 142 pinwheels in the facility’s yard, 501 N. Madison, Morrison, IL.
April House Executive Director Carrie Melton noted, “April House is the only agency of its kind in Whiteside County. [Our] focus is to bring together professionals who are investigating child abuse cases. [We] provide victim-sensitive, forensic interviews in a child-friendly, trauma-informed setting, so children do not have to repeat their story multiple times. [That] can be traumatizing for them.”
“April House also connects children who have been sexually, or severely physically, abused to area services. April House is a United Way Partner Agency.”
