It is hard to believe that a new season of baseball and softball is just around the corner! Starting mid-May 2019, our beautiful baseball and softball Sports Complex will be busy nearly every night of the week, with kids of all ages and their families, not only from Morrison, IL, but also from surrounding communities. We are proud to say that the Morrison Youth Baseball and Softball League continues to grow. Last year we served 280 players in our community, from 1st to 9th grades.
The MYBS Board of Directors would like to keep the community informed of important dates and opportunities. Online registration will be available from Friday, March 1, through Saturday, April 6. Visit www.morrisonyouthball.com.
Player evaluations will be on Saturday, March 9, at Morrison Junior High School, 300 Academic Drive, Morrison, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Teams will be drafted on Monday, April 8.
The first week of games in town will be Monday, May 13, with Opening Day Ceremonies taking place on Friday, May 17.

Coaches are critical to our organization. We strive to help our players develop the physical skills to play, as well as take time to teach children of this community valuable skills, such as team building, communication, and self-confidence.
Opening Day Committee is looking for some individuals to help in the planning of the activities and raffle baskets. We are looking forward to another successful kick-off to our 2019 season and need your help.
Umpires are a paid position. MYBS is looking for individuals from teens to adults to step up to the plate and get paid to take in a game of America’s favorite pastime. Umpires will receive training and sign up for the games and times they want to work.
