February 1 Sheriff’s Office Crash Report

On 2/1/19 at about 7:15 a.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 88 at about mile marker 43.  Upon further investigation, Kelsey J. Quaco, 26 of Deer Grove, IL, was traveling westbound on  Interstate 88, when she failed to negotiate through a curve and lost control on the ice-covered roadway.  Quaco struck the end of the guardrail, then spun and hit rhe guardrail again, and came to a rest against the guardrail.  Quaco was transported by CGH EMS to CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL, for non-life threatening injuries.  Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies were assisted on scene by Rock Falls Fire, Sterling Fire, and CGH Medical Center EMS.
