llinois State Police District 1 Commander, Captain Matthew Hodgdon, announced District 1 enforcement figures and activity for December 2018.
Illinois State Police District 1 Troopers issued 323 citations and 452 written warnings and made 12 criminal arrests during the month. Speeding accounted for 215 citations; seven citations were issued for Occupant Restraint violations; three citations were issued for Distracted Driving violations.
Troopers investigated nine traffic crashes, assisted 65 motorists, and conducted 124 commercial vehicle inspections–13 of which were placed out-of-service for safety reasons.
There were six arrests made for Driving Under the Influence.
District 1, which encompasses Carroll, Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside Counties, had one traffic crash fatality in December.
