Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, December 28, 2018.
Arrests: On Thursday, December 27, 2018, at approximately 2:50 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a domestic dispute at 319 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL. As a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, Tyson J. Venema, age 37 of Morrison, was arrested and charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (< 5 grams) and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (< 15 grams.) Venema was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Matthew R. Mecum, age 36 of Morrison, IL, pursuant to a Body Attachment issued by Whiteside County. Mecum was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
