Dimitrius L. Pucket, 24, of DeKalb, IL, was stopped for speeding on 12/21/2018 at 11:43 p.m., on IL Route 38 at Interstate 39 in Ogle County and charged with Driving While License Suspended, Speeding, and Improper Lighting. Pucket was released on an I-bond. A passenger in the vehicle, Emily K. Jones, 22, of DeKalb, was wanted on an Ogle County warrant for Failure to Appear for Driving While License Suspended. Jones was transported to the Ogle County Jail.
Artonno L. Hanks, 48, of Aurora, IL, was stopped for improper lane usage and violating the minimum speed limit on 12/22/2018 at 2:11 a.m., on Interstate 88 westbound at milepost 72 in Lee County and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Improper Lane Usage, and Violating the Minimum Speed Limit. Hanks posted a Driver’s License and was released on an I-bond.
Cornelius R. Anderson, 21, of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped for improper lane usage on 12/23/2018 at 1:05 a.m., on Washington Street at 1st Avenue in Rochelle, IL, and was wanted on an Ogle County warrant for Violation of a Court Order. Anderson posted bond on scene and was released.
Dareius M. Langston, 22, of Aurora, IL, was stopped for speeding on 12/24/2018 at 10:50 p.m., on Interstate 39 northbound at milepost 103 in Ogle County and charged with Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Unlawful Use of Weapon, and Possession of Ammunition Without a Firearms Owners Identification card. Langston was transported to the Ogle County Jail. A 15-year-old male passenger was wanted on a Will County warrant for Failure to Appear for Larceny and Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer. He was also wanted on a Kendall County warrant for Retail Theft. He was transferred to the custody of Will County.
Kaylon I. Westmorland, 20, of Sterling, IL, was stopped for a lighting violation on 12/29/2018 at 8:18 p.m., on W. Lynn Boulevard at Industrial Drive in Sterling and was wanted on a Lee County warrant for Failure to Appear. Westmorland posted $300 cash bond and was released.
The Illinois State Police investigated a property damage crash on 12/30/2018 at 6:40 p.m., in the 1100 block of 16th Street in Sterling, IL, where Tommy L. Porter, III, 20, of Sterling, ran into a parked vehicle. Porter was charged with Driving While License Suspended and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash. Sterling Police Department assisted at the scene, and the vehicles were removed by Slim n Hank’s Towing.
