Finding Home Free Record Release Concert December 14

Finding Home is an area Christian Folk-Rock Band from Sterling, IL, comprised of five siblings.  They are the children of Brent and Shannon Jacobs.  These talented youth recently released a single, “Have Your Way,” on all major platforms.  On Friday, December 14, 2018, the band will release its first album, titled “Here I Go.”  Included are ten original songs written by guitarist Maddie Jacobs.  Her brothers and sisters put their own parts together to enrich the songs.

To celebrate, the band will host a free concert at Abiding Word Church, at the corner of 6th Avenue and Lynn Boulevard, in Sterling, at 7:00 p.m.  Doors open at 6:30.  Their CD’s will be available for purchase at $10.

The opening act will be Bradley McClendon of Sterling.  Finding Home takes the stage at 8:00.

Shannon Jacobs stated of her older daughters, “Maddie and Molly started their own musical group four or five years ago.  All five of them started performing as a group two years ago.”  The mother neither composes nor performs, but she manages the group, by driving them to performances and music lessons.

Venues in Morrison, IL, include Brethren in Christ and Emmanuel Reformed Churches and the Farmers Market.  They have entertained at They Sing for Their Supper and Spring Valley Reformed Church and others.  You may have heard Finding Home at Rock Falls, IL, Summer Splash or Dixon, IL, Street Fair, or many coffee shops in Dixon and Sterling.  They were excited to play for Mike Wolf of American Pickers & Antique Archaeology, in LeClaire, IA.
