David E. Phillips, Sr., 68, of Fulton, IL, died Monday, November 26, 2018, at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL.
David was born July 1, 1950, in Clinton, IA, to Robert and Evelyn (Johnson) Phillips. He was educated in the Fulton Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. David then graduated from Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL. He was employed by J. T. Cullen Company in Fulton. David enjoyed anything to do with cars, especially racing. He enjoyed wresting and live PD shows and was an avid Nascar and NHRA fan.
Survivors include two daughters, Ginger (Don) Emerson of Fulton and Stephanie Phillips of Morrison, IL; four sons, David Phillips, Jr. of Fulton, Dale Phillips of Fulton, Lucas Phillips of Morrison, and Robert Phillips of Fulton; five grandchildren, Mackenzie Phillips, Lexy Ingram, Paige Emerson, Brandon Phillips, and Isaiah Phillips; one sister, Diane (Karl) Wilkins of Brodhead, WI; four brothers, Steve (DeeDee) Phillips of Clinton, Richard Phillips of Thomson, IL, Michael and Tim Phillips of Fulton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation or funeral service.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
