The Black Box Theatre presents the holiday romantic comedy “It Had to Be You” by Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna. It runs through November to Sunday, December 2, 2018, at 1623 5th Avenue, Moline, IL.
“If you’re looking for something fun to do with friends or out-of-town family, we suggest you spend some time laughing inside the Black Box Theatre,” said co-founder David Miller.
Tickets can be purchased online and more information can be found at www.theblackboxtheatre.com.
The plot involves failed actress, health food nut, and would-be playwright Theda Blau, who wants to find love and success in New York. She meets Vito Pignoli, a successful TV commercial director. By holding him hostage in her apartment on a snowy Christmas Eve, she (somehow) manages to convince him to be her partner–both on the page and off.
The play will star Black Box Theatre Co-founder Lora Adams opposite actor and cartoonist Jason Platt.
The play is directed by Patti Flaherty and features Gregory Kerr, who also serves as the production Stage Manager.
Set construction is by Michael Kopriva, and light design is by David Miller.
