Emmanuel Reformed Church, 202 E. Morris Street, Morrison, IL, cordially invites the area to its 12th Annual Voices of Praise Christmas Cantata, “The King is Here!” Three concerts will be presented on Friday, December 14, 2018, at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, December 15, at 3:00 p.m.; Sunday, December 16, at 7:00 p.m.
Emmanuel Reformed Church is handicapped accessible. A fellowship hour with refreshments will follow each service.
No tickets are needed, but a free-will offering will be received.
“The King is Here!” is a Christmas worship musical arranged and orchestrated by Cliff Duren. It is written to feature a variety of Christmas music, to appeal to multi-generational audiences. Familiar carols and current worship songs–by such worship leaders as Francesca Battistelli, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Matthew West, and others–are used to tell the story of Christmas in a fresh and relevant way.
The audience in invited to sing along with the 80-voice choir on “Tapestry of Carols,” a medley of five traditional Christmas carols. Then the choir will sing the finale, Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus.”
