Have you voted already, a week in advance of the Tuesday, November 6, 2018, General Election? Close to 2500 applications have been returned to the Whiteside County Clerk’s Office, as of Tuesday, October 30.
County Clerk Dana Nelson–who is the incumbent running unopposed–reported her office has mailed 3288 applications to citizens who wish to either vote early or vote by mail.
“That’s a good number,” she said. Two thousand four hundred thirty-four (74%) have been returned” so far. “Each year it climbs. People get used to it and like to vote early.”
These are two of several accommodations the County Clerk’s Office makes, to ensure registered voters can vote without encumbrances. Return your ballot or vote in the Clerk’s Office soon.
