Dear Friends:

With all the excitement about needing good Government across the Country, locally we need a good Sheriff, who will be a great steward with tax payer resources; a Sheriff who will work hard to humanize the badge, bridging the gap between Law Enforcement and citizens; a Sheriff who will bring a multitude of noticeable changes to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office.  As your next Sheriff, I vow all the above.  Plus, I vow to be fiscally responsible and transparent.  I will lead by example leaning on all my experiences as a military veteran, my college degree in Organizational Management, and–most importantly–my vast experiences, where I excelled at every position I’ve held in the past.

We are now facing some very real problems that will require effective leadership to solve:  drug problems on the streets of Whiteside County that must be tackled head-on; the need for a presence of Law Enforcement in our schools, to protect our children; strong leadership to protect our citizens.  I am someone who can identify problems, implement solutions, and measure the results.  Through teamwork, education, and innovative ideas, we will enhance and solidify the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and benefit the citizens we serve.  It is my goal to build a strong bond between the Sheriff’s Office and the residents of Whiteside County.

Now is your opportunity to bring forth, through voting, a Sheriff who will accomplish goals I have set out, plus the goals of your family, friends, and neighbors.  It is vital for public safety and public trust to maintain a qualified, independent professional as your Whiteside County Sheriff.

It will be my honor and privilege to serve Whiteside County as your Sheriff.  Likewise, I promise to work tirelessly during my term to protect you and your family.

I ask for your vote today or on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

Yours in service,

Kris Schmidt, Candidate for Whiteside County Sheriff
