On Sunday, October 14, 2018, the Democratic National Committee highlighted Congresswoman Cheri Bustos’ work to earn the support of small town America, in a new web video.
The video spotlighted Bustos’ recent trip to knock on doors of the people she represents in the town of Hamlet, IL, population 48. She stated whether or not those residents vote for her, she represents them. She needs to hear their concerns.
“If Democrats want to earn the votes of hardworking men and women from small towns and rural communities, it starts by showing up and listening,” said Congresswoman Bustos. “What people really want to know is, will you fight for them? and can you get the job done in a way that improves their lives?”
“I’m proud to be working hard to help Democrats win up and down the ballot on November 6, so we can deliver real change that will strengthen the heartland.”
