The American Legion Post 328 in Morrison, IL, conducted its annual Ceremony for Disposal of Unserviceable Flags as outlined in Resolution No. 440, on Sunday, September 30, 2018. The ceremony was held at Kiwanis Park in Morrison.
Sergeant-at-Arms Jerry Brearton directed the ceremony. Participants included, left-to-right, Carolyn Aiken who played Taps; Brearton; Service Officer Larry Zuidema; U. S. Flag Bearer Ron Wiersema; Legion Flag Bearer Garry Seaman; Commander Terry Jones; Adjutant Ken Petersen; Chaplain Bob Brands; Legionnaire Jeff Steele; Senior Vice Commander Dennis VanZuiden.
Left-to-right, Legionnaires Ed Murney, VanZuiden, Barry Linder, and Larry Sailing performed the actual burning.
