Illinois State Police (ISP) District 1 Captain Hodgdon announces the results of a Roadside Safety Check (RSC) held in Whiteside County, from late Saturday night, September 15, to early morning Sunday, September 16, 2018.  The RSC was conducted west of Rock Falls, IL, by District 1 officers.

Alcohol and drug impairment is a factor in more than 30 percent of all fatal motor vehicle crashes in Illinois.  Throughout the United States, nearly 10,000 people die each year due to alcohol-impaired driving.  RSC’s are designed to keep our roads safe by taking dangerous DUI offenders off the road.  This project was funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation.
