Former Whiteside County Sheriff Roger Schipper has announced his endorsement of John Booker for Whiteside County Sheriff.

Booker, 51, has 27 years of experience as a Police Officer.  He is currently the Chief Deputy of Whiteside County.

“John Booker is far and away the best candidate for the Office of Whiteside County Sheriff,” Schipper said.  “Booker possesses all the knowledge, ability, and qualifications to make him an outstanding Sheriff,” he added.

“As a retired cop, probably the greatest compliment I could give Booker is I could depend on him in any situation for my safety and life,” Schipper said.

“I am incredibly honored to be endorsed by Sheriff Roger Schipper,” Booker said.  “Sheriff Schipper was a very effective and popular Sheriff of this County for many years,” Booker added. “His expression of confidence in me is just wonderful,” he said.

Booker is running as the Democratic candidate for Whiteside County Sheriff in this year’s General Election.  Schipper’s endorsement of Booker follows Sheriff Kelly Wilhelmi’s endorsement of Booker.

As a result, John Booker, the Democratic candidate for Whiteside County Sheriff, has now received the strong endorsements of the last two Republican Sheriffs of Whiteside County.

“This is an incredibly powerful statement of bipartisan support for me,” Booker said.  “The voters of Whiteside County can go to the ballot box in November knowing that both Democrats and Republicans alike believe that I am the most qualified candidate for Sheriff,” Booker added.

“This demonstrates that in the end, it’s not about politics,” Booker said.  “It’s about experience and integrity,” he added.
