On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office participated in a Statewide program called Speed Awareness Day. Whiteside County Deputies joined forces with local agencies and took a proactive approach to promote safety for motorist in Whiteside County.
During a 24-hour period, Deputies conducted 37 traffic stops in Whiteside County where they issued
- 32 written warnings for speed violations
- two written warnings for equipment violations
- three citations for speeding.
In April 2018, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office participated in the Illinois Distracted Driving Awareness Week.
Chief Deputy John Booker advised Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office will continue to participate in these effective campaigns of Statewide programs, to promote safety for all motorists in Whiteside County.
