The Rock Falls, IL, 13-and-Under Little League Baseball team captured a third place win, in the State Tournament for Illinois District 19. Held from July 11-14, 2018, the finals were in Elgin, IL. The Rock Falls team finished their run on Friday, July 13.
The ten young men are coached by Justin Lehman, Kevin Meenen, and John Richards.
The Little League banner indicates Intermediate age players. They perform on diamonds with 50-foot pitch lengths and 70-foot base lengths. Boys are ages 12 and 13. Four teams in District 19 include Freeport, Rochelle, Rock Falls, and Sterling; only the last two made it to the State Tournament.
Only Rock Falls came home with a placing.
