Whiteside County Democratic Candidate for Sheriff Lieutenant John Booker and his supporters held events on Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, 2018. Both were opportunities to meet the public, gather support, have fun, and enjoy pleasant summer weather.
On Saturday, Booker and his team were a walking entry in the Tampico Days Parade, in Tampico, IL. This is the second year in a row that they entered. Booker For Sheriff sponsored a mud volleyball team.
“There were [over] 25 people” in his group, he stated.

On Sunday, Booker For Sheriff kicked off their campaign fundraising. “About 145 people” participated in a Golf Outing at Deer Valley Golf Club, 3298 Hoover Road, Deer Grove, IL. “There were 31 teams” of four golfers. The lunch afterwards was a time for conversation.
