Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, June 8, 2018.
Arrests: On Saturday, June 9, 2018, at approximately 7:30 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a possible motor vehicle crash that occurred on E. High Street and N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL. Morrison Police learned that that a vehicle had left the scene of the crash. As a result of the investigation, Rachel M. Tucker, age 37 of Morrison, was arrested and charged with Failure to Report Accident to Police Authority and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Tucker was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and then released on a Notice to Appear.
On Sunday, June 10, 2018, at approximately 5:11 p.m., Morrison Police arrested Stephanie M. Adams, age 28 of Prophetstown, IL, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Adams with Violation of Probation-Attempted Armed Robbery. Adams was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Sunday, June 17, 2018, at approximately 7:04 p.m., Morrison Police responded to a motor vehicle crash with injuries at the intersection of E. Lincolnway and N. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL. As a result of the crash investigation, Franklin V. Jones, age 25 of Clinton, IA, was issued citations for Possession of Cannabis (< 10 grams), Operating Uninsured Vehicle, No Valid Driver’s License, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. The Morrison Community Hospital Emergency Medical Services also responded to the crash.
