May 24 Junior High Promotion Ceremony

Superintendent of Schools Scott Vance addressed Eighth Graders and guests during Morrison Junior High School’s 60th Annual Promotional Exercises, on Friday, May 31, 2019.  The event took place at 7:00 p.m., in the Morrison High School Auditorium, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL.

Junior High School Principal Joe Robbins congratulated these 23 Eighth Grade students who received the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.

Ryan Venema, Director of Pre-Hospital Care/EMS Chief for CGH Emergency Services, a Morrison Junior High Class of 1988 alumnus, addressed the class.  Venema reflected on leadership and serving as a mentor to others.

Morrison Junior High School Class of 2019 is prepared for the next step in their educational journeys.  Entering Morrison High School as Freshmen in August, they are now the MHS Class of 2023.

Morrison Junior High School Principal Joe Robbins presented five students with the President’s Award for Educational Achievement and 23 students with the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.  Click here to see all the student awards for grades six-through-eight.

2018Promotion

Jarod Schroeder, former head Swimming and Diving Coach at Northwestern University, shared the story of his quest for success as swimmer in college and as a member of the U. S. National Team.  He encouraged students to look within themselves to overcome adversity throughout their lives.  Schroeder is a member of the Morrison Junior High School Class of 1987.

Principal Robbins congratulated the MJHS Class of 2018.
