Charles H. Vos, 94, of Fulton, IL, formerly of Albany, IL, died on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton.
He was born on September 15, 1923, in Galesburg, ND, to Henry and Emma Vos. He married Lois Harvey on March 28, 1952, in Albany. She preceded him in death on March 25, 2016. He was a WW II veteran serving in the U. S. Navy from 1944-1946. Charles farmed for many years, retiring in January 1986. He was a member of Albany United Methodist Church and the Whiteside County Farm Bureau. Charles had the honor of participating in an Honor Flight to Washington, D. C.
Survivors include his daughters, Karen (Francis) Frederick, of Rock Falls, IL, Marilyn (Gary) White, of Bettendorf, IA, LuAnn Vos, of Morrison, IL, and Nancy (Tom) Hook, of Morrison; his sons, Raymond (Lisa) Vos, of Chadwick,IL, and Randall (Deb) Vos, of Sterling, IL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Johnson; a brother, Richard Vos.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Judith Vos; brothers, Martin, Emery, Harold, and William Vos; sister Evelyn; two sisters in infancy.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 18, 2018, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton, IL.
The funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m., with Bob Douglas officiating.
Burial will be at Lusk Cemetery in Albany, IL.
A memorial has been established in his memory to the Honor Flight of the Quad Cities or the Albany, IL, Fire Department.
