Hubert W. Londo, 95, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, May 11, 2018, at Resthave Home in Morrison.
Hubert was born March 31, 1923, in Fulton, IL, to William and Dorothy (Dykhuizen) Londo. He was educated in the Kingsbury School of rural Whiteside County, IL. Hubert married Gertrude L. Medema on February 14, 1945, in Erie, IL. She died July 3, 2015. Hubert farmed in the Round Grove area for 23 years. He later owned and operated Londo Trucking until retiring in 2000. Hubert was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison and served as deacon, elder, and catechism teacher.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Brown of Eden, NC, and Faye (James) Roberts of Naperville, IL; one son, Richard (Dianne) Londo of Loves Park, IL; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two nephews (who he raised), William (Diane Smith) Londo and Marc (Dawn) Londo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gertrude; one brother, Leonard Londo.
At his request, Hubert has donated his body to the Anatomical Association of Illinois for Medical Science Study.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Ken Renkes officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Following the Medical Study, his cremated remains will be interred at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial to The Victory Center in Clinton, IA, has been established.
