The 71st Commencement Ceremony of Clinton Community College will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at the Clinton High School W. J. Yourd Gymnasium, 817 8th Avenue South, Clinton, IA. The Commencement begins at 6:00 p.m. A reception follows the ceremony at Clinton Community College, 944 Lincoln Boulevard.
CCC has 206 graduates in 2018. Four students have earned Highest Honors with a 4.0 GPA. High Honors were awarded to 61 students who have earned a 3.5 to 3.9 GPA.
A Nursing Pinning Ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 9, in the CCC Auditorium, for the students completing the nursing program. A total of 22 students will be pinned including, five LPN’s (Licensed Practical Nurse) and 17 ADN’s (Associate Degree Nursing) recipients. The nursing students are pinned by a family member or friend who has shown support during the years in the program. During the program, students and guests will be welcomed by CCC President Dr. Karen Vickers, with speakers including former instructor Tammy Nodarse, Instructor Ramon Tieso, and students Corey Schroeder and Megan Ingram. Pins will be presented by Instructor Joan Berkey.
