Cub Scout Round-Up for Boys and Girls

PackWelcomeMorrison, IL, parents and their children in Kindergarten through fifth grade are invited to Cub Scout Pack 328’s Spring Round-Up, to learn about the Cub Scout program.  Experience a night of Cub Scouts on Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Southside Grade School, 100 Academic Drive, Morrison, IL   If the weather cooperates we will be outside, otherwise come to the gymnasium.

Families new to Cub Scouting are invited to attend an information and registration session from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.  Cub Scouts is not just for boys.  Girls now are welcome to register with the Pack.  The registration fee for new Scouts is $40; this includes a two-day summer camp.

Stay for our regular Pack meeting from 6:30 to 7:30.  There will be games, snacks, and fun!

Register for 2018-2019 to participate in Cub Scout activities like model rocket launches; fishing; camping; space (ship) derby; pinewood (race car) derby; being in parades; presenting the flags at a Minor League baseball game; so much more!

Do Parents need to be involved?  Yes, parents are asked to help lead the dens and chaperone field trips and overnight campouts.  Parents are invited to help plan Pack meetings and other Pack activities.

I don’t know anything about Scouting; how can I lead?  There is training for all parents, and there is support from all the Pack leaders.  To be involved, you just have to want to be involved and be open to learning as you go along.

What is a Den?  Each grade level is its own Den.  Dens require at least three boys or three girls and a parent leader for each Den. 

  • Kindergarteners, Lion Den
  • 1st Grade, Tiger Den
  • 2nd Grade, Wolf Den
  • 3rd Grade, Bear Den
  • 4th Grade, Webelos Den
  • 5th Grade, Arrow of Light Den.  

Can my child join at any age?  Yes.  Children do not need to begin as a Kindergartener.  They can join at any time.
