MissValleyLogoBlood donation is a safe and simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour . Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.

Locally, Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is the sole provider of blood and blood components to patients at hospitals in Morrison, and Geneseo, IL, Clinton, IA, and the Quad Cities.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission form available through www.bloodcenter.org) and weigh more than 110 pounds.  A photo I.D. is required to donate

For questions about eligibility, please call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at 815-747-5401.  Donors who last gave blood on or before Tuesday, February 13, 2018, are eligible to give at this drive.

Fenton United Methodist Church will host a community blood drive from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Tuesday, April 10.  The Fenton United Methodist Church is at 10019 Main Street, Fenton, IL, and the drive will be hosted in the Fellowship Hall.  This blood drive is open to the public.  Appointments are appreciated, and walk-in donors are welcome.
