TriChurch Sponsoring Bouquets of Hope Fundraiser

Posted by

BouquetPatientThree ELCA congregations of Sterling, and Rock Falls, IL, St. Paul, Immanuel, and St. John’s, are partnering on a mission by organizing a fundraiser for Rock River Hospice & Home.  Called “Bouquets of Hope,” the fundraiser will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 25, 2018.  The event is at the Latin American Social Club, 2708 W. Fourth Street, Sterling.

All activities are designed to generate funds for the purchase of recliners for patient rooms at the new Hospice Home.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

The fundraiser is in gratitude for, and support of, the new Hospice Home in Sterling.

A three-meat buffet will be available from 5:00 to 7:00 for a free-will donation.  Menu includes hot beef, Hawaiian ham, and chicken sandwiches; German and American potato salad; macaroni salad; vegetable tray; relish tray; baked beans; salads; pudding cups.

There will be a 50/50 raffle and a dessert auction twice during the evening, at 6:00 and 7:00.  Following each dessert auction and 50/50 raffle, there will be a live auction of large and unique items–such as Smart TV, chest freezer, handmade quilt, and Yeti cooler.  In addition, there will be a silent auction available from 5:00 to 8:30, for a variety of baskets which contain services, gift cards, and items.

Enjoy entertainment from a variety of musical groups until 9:00 p.m.

If a business wants to donate an item to help to raise $16,000 for this purchase of recliners, please contact any of the three churches prior to Saturday, April 14.  If a cash donation is preferred, send checks written to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 703 Third Avenue, Sterling, IL 61081.

The church is serving as fiscal agent, so your business can be recognized in the program for the evening.
