On 3-05-18 at 5:10 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to the report of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on IL Route 78 about one mile north of Bunker Hill Road. During the investigation of the crash, it was determined the vehicle driven by Khristofer E. Blair, age 32 of Stockton, IL, was traveling northbound, when he lost control and crossed the center line into the southbound lane, before he crashed into the vehicle driven by Courtney L. Wigant, age 29 of Erie, IL. Blair was arrested for Driving Too Fast for Conditions, Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Driving While License Revoked. He was eventually transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear. Wigant was transported to CGH in Sterling with non-life threatening injuries by Morrison EMS. Assisting on scene was Morrison Fire, Morrison EMS, Morrison Police, Illinois Department of Transportation, Rick’s Towing out of Morrison, IL, and Hunter’s Towing out of Morrison.
