February 13 Illinois State Police Report

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law

On 2/08/2018, at 12:04 a.m., Lauren Makris, 31, of Arlington Heights, IL, was stopped for speeding and improper lane usage on Interstate 39 southbound, at milepost 103 in Ogle County.  Makris was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Improper Lane Usage, and Speeding.  Makris posted a Driver’s License and was released on an I-bond.

On 2/10/2018, at 8:21 p.m., Cori Shannon Foote, 41, of Aurora, IL, was stopped for speeding on Interstate 88 westbound, at milepost 37 in Whiteside County.  Foote charged with Aggravated Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Child Endangerment, Driving While License Suspended, Illegal Transportation of Alcohol, and Speeding.  Foote was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.

The Illinois State Police investigated a two-vehicle crash on Inlet Road, south of Richardson Road in Lee County, on 2/09/2018, at 2:49 p.m.  A 2012 International snowplow, driven by Lance E. Walter, 57, of Amboy, IL, was performing snow removal operations on Inlet Road, when a 2002 blue Ford Explorer, driven by a 16-year-old male from Amboy, attempted to pass by the plow.  It sideswiped the back corner of the snowplow.  The 16-year-old driver and two passengers were transported to KSB hospital by Amboy Fire Department with minor injuries.  The juvenile driver was cited for Graduated Driver’s License violation (too many passengers.)  The ISP were assisted at the scene by Lee County Sheriff’s Department and Amboy Fire Department.
