Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, January 26, 2018.
Arrests: On Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Morrison Police approached a vehicle parked (but running) within a No Parking Zone, on the 100 block of W. Market Street, Morrison, IL. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested and charged Jarrod C. Meurs, age 36 of Clinton, IA, with Possession of Methamphetamine (< 5 grams), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While License Revoked, and Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Additional charges may be pending as the investigation continues. Meurs was transported to the Whiteside County Jail. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and Fulton Police Department assisted the Morrison Police.
On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at approximately 12:15 p.m., Morrison Police arrested and charged Lucas A. Phillips, age 32 of Morrison, IL, with Burglary, as a result of an investigation from an incident which occurred at 516 E. Lincolnway, Morrison, on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Phillips was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
