Christmas festivities begin in Morrison, IL, on Wednesday, November 28, 2017, when bids open on decorated lanterns. View and bid in the lobby of Wells Fargo Bank, 100 W. Lincolnway. The weekend of Friday, December 1, and Saturday, December 2, is packed with food, music, and fun.
The community Christmas tree lighting and caroling will be Saturday at 5:00 p.m., on the southeast corner of U. S. Route 30 and IL Highway 78. Suzy Snowflake and Jack Frost will bring light to the tree.
The lighted Christmas Parade begins it journey along Main Street at 6:00 p.m. “The Polar Express” is the holiday theme.
Afterwards, enjoy window displays; wagon and/or barrel rides; student dancers; a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus (beside the Chamber of Commerce building.)
