The International Thanksgiving Fellowship Weekend program has been a part of Morrison’s Thanksgiving tradition since the 1960’s and is sponsored by Morrison Rotary Club. Pictured are 2016 potluck supper attendees.
Come join us for a delicious potluck supper, and meet our college guests who are visiting Morrison, IL, over the holiday weekend. Hosts are expecting 14 international students from various countries. They will arrive by bus from different colleges in Chicago, IL, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, and will stay with local families, to experience an American holiday. They leave Sunday afternoon, November 26.
Organizers Janet Fisher and Carol Hollister invite you to meet these special guests during the annual community Fellowship Potluck Supper. It will begin at 6:30 p.m., Friday, November 24, in the basement at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, located at 601 N. Jackson Street, Morrison. Entrance will be at the backside of the church, where you can take the stairs or elevator to the downstairs community room.
Dinner is followed by a candle lighting ceremony, local entertainment, and American traditional dances.
Reservations are not needed. Bring a dish to pass, beverages, and your own table service.
This is a wonderful way to meet young people from other countries!
