The American Legion will hold the annual Veterans Day ceremony on Saturday, November 11, 2017. The community is invited to Grove Hill Cemetery on High Street, Morrison, IL, at 10:45 a.m.
At 11:00, Jim Prombo will offer a few words of commemoration, there will be a rifle salute, and Taps will be played.
Visitors are encouraged to view the newly installed, six granite memorial tablets in the City of Morrison Veterans‘ Park & Memorial. All 520 Morrison veterans’ names are engraved in a communal display, spanning 14 tablets.
