ardith landheerArdith Jane Landheer 91, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, October 29, 2017, at the Resthave Home in Morrison.

Ardith was born September 3, 1926, in Lyndon, IL, to Arthur and Edna (Parnum) Brandt. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a 1945 graduate of Morrison High School. Ardith married Kenneth F. Landheer on December 31, 1945, in Sterling, IL. He died September 3, 2015. In her younger years, Ardith worked as an aid at the Morrison Hospital and also provided in home care. Ardith was an Avon representative. She was a past member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Sterling and was a current member of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morrison, serving in Ladies Aid and LWML. She was a Sunday School teacher and transcribed Sunday School lessons into Braille. Ardith was also a cat lover.

Survivors include two daughters, Deb (Milt) Kregar of Sterling and Mary (Wendy) Landheer of Rockford, IL; two sons, Steve Landheer of Palatine, IL, and Tom (Trudy) Landheer of Morrison; three grandchildren, Jennifer Kregar, Adam (Tricia) Landheer, and Amy (John) Sumption; five great-grandchildren, Tobias and Maxim Knapp, Vivienne Chavira, Chloe and Nolan Landheer; two sisters, Mrs. Audrey Brown of Milledgeville, IL, and Mrs. Karen Berry of Birmingham, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken; three brothers, Loyal, Elwin, and Erwin Brandt.

FUNERAL SERVICE:  10:30 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017, at St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL

OFFICIATING:  Rev. Mark Winkelman, Pastor of St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church

VISITATION:  4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT:  Oak Knoll Memorial Park Cemetery, Sterling, IL

MEMORIALS:  St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Our Savior Lutheran Church, and Christ Lutheran School
