Director and inspector will be at first three showings for Q&A

Those who missed out on watching the documentary detailing Rita Crundwell’s $53.7 million embezzlement scheme will have four more chances to see it next month.
“All the Queen’s Horses” will return March 3 to the Historic Dixon Theatre, 114 S. Galena Ave., for four free showings at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
It’s directed by Kelly Richmond Pope, an accounting professor at DePaul University. She and Jason Wojdylo, chief inspector for the U.S. Marshals Service’s asset forfeiture division, will attend the first three showings and participate in a question-and-answer session following the film.
The 71-minute film is about the city’s former comptroller and her theft spanning 2 decades before being arrested in 2012 for what’s being called the largest municipal fraud in U.S. history.
The documentary came to Crundwell’s former Dixon estate for a private screening Sept. 24 with about 50 people in attendance and was opened up to the public in late October for two free screenings at the Historic Dixon Theatre, where it drew more than 1,800 people.
The documentary features interviews with forensic accountants, equestrians, attorneys, government officials and local residents.
It was developed through the Diverse Voices and Docs fellowship program with Chicago-based Kartemquin Films, and it debuted at the Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival on Aug. 8, where it won the HBO Documentary Films Spotlight Award.
