Delores A. Hinrichs, 90, of Sterling, died Wednesday morning, October 11, 2017, at Regency Care in Sterling, IL.
She was born on September 24, 1927, in Creighton, NE, to Maurice and Agnes (Johansen) Olsen. She was united in marriage to Arthur Hinrichs on November 21, 1945, in Rock Falls, IL. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1996. Delores worked for General Electric in Morrison, IL, until her retirement in 1988 and was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Falls.
Delores enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and making clothing for her grandchildren. She was a very giving person and loved her family. Delores loved playing cards and playing the piano for her children and grandchildren. She also loved to bake with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Judy (Dennis) Lehman of Morrison and Richard (Nancy) Hinrichs of Rock Falls; her grandchildren, Michelle Bealer, Greg (Lisette) Lehman, Mitchell (Delaney) Lehman, Matthew (Nadia) Hinrichs and Mitchell Hinrichs; her great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jordan, Arielle, Julia, Marissa, Logan, Skylar, Violet, and Ahni; brothers, Duane Olsen and Milton (Betty Lou) Olsen of Prophetstown, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a grandson, Arnold Lehman.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL, and from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m., on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, IL.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 16, 2017, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rock Falls, IL, with Reverend Bree Truax, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown, IL.
A memorial has been established to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in her memory.
