Charges listed below are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On 9-17-17 at 4:57 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to the area of U. S. Route 30 and McNeil Road, Rock Falls, IL, for a two-vehicle traffic crash. Investigation revealed that a westbound Ford Focus driven by Timothy L. Ohda, 60, of Rock Falls collided with an eastbound tractor-trailer driven by Christopher M. Thomas, 42, of Streator, IL, in the eastbound lane. Thomas was not injured. Ohda was pronounced dead at the scene by Whiteside County Coroner Joe McDonald.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by the Rock Falls Police Department, Illinois State Police, Sterling, IL, and Rock Falls Fire Departments, CGH EMS, and the Illinois Department of Transportation.
