The Pink Heals Tour is returning to Morrison, IL, on Sunday, September 24, 2017. Pink Heals is a group of First Responders who raise awareness, spread hope, and bring healing to those with cancer, while traveling yearly across the United States. The group will stop in Rock Falls, IL, earlier in the day.
At 2:15 p.m., Pink Heals members will stop at Resthave Home, 408 Maple Avenue. Donations of comfort items are being requested to give local women battling cancer, especially restaurant gift certificates. Help show them they are not alone in their fight. Come sign a truck in memory or support of someone you love.
The Pink Heals stop coincides with a Family Fun Day community event, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Staff members who battled cancer in the past will receive pink roses; a gift basket will be presented to a staff member currently fighting the disease.
There will be a free lunch of barbecue pork sandwiches and hot dogs; chips; baked beans; beverages. Activities include
- lots of games for toddlers and older children
- two bounce houses
- two clowns who make balloon art
- prizes
- relays
- bags games
- a cupcake walk.
