n Saturday, September 9, 2017, the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and Mounted Patrol will hold their annual Youth Fishing Derby, at Morrison-Rockwood State Park.
Children ages 15 and under are eligible to fish in Lake Carleton, near the Marina. A parent or guardian must sign for each child. There is no cost to enter.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Fishing is from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Throughout the morning, prizes will be awarded to all youth participants.
