Hillary Blevins, Morrison, IL, created a set of individual, tie-dyed t-shirt designs to celebrate the solar eclipse of Monday, August 21, 2017. She and children Annabelle, 9, and Isaac, 5, chose dye colors and patterns for their shirts. Blevins bought materials for family friends who came to supper on Saturday, August 19. They crafted their own styles.
“Solar shirts” with a black circle shading the sunlight will be visible on several school children–and a few adults–on Monday. You can look at them safely without wearing special filtering glasses.
