The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Sterling Police, to assist them with two separate incidents on Tuesday morning, August 15, 2017.
The first incident was around 10:30 a.m., when the Whiteside County SWAT Team assisted Sterling Detectives and Whiteside County Detectives, with the issuance of a high-risk search warrant.
The SWAT Team was then requested a second time by the Sterling Police, to assist them with the report of several people trespassing in a residence. The report was that at least one of the individuals was armed with a handgun.
Whiteside County Swat Team was also assisted by Rock Falls Police and Illinois State Police
No further information in available at this time, and both incidents remain under investigation.
